California's state government is a divided organization with three distinct branches: the executive, judicial, and legislative. The legislative branch, made up of by the State Assembly and Senate, is responsible for creating laws. The executive branch, headed by the Governor, oversees state agencies. Finally, the judicial branch, presided over the
